Luvit Blinds (PTY) Ltd Terms and Conditions

Payments and Quotes:

  • Deposit: A 70% payment of the accepted quote is due by the client before any product can be ordered by Luvit Blinds.
  • Order Requirement: Blinds cannot be ordered if less than 70% is paid.
  • Acceptance: The 70% payment serves as acceptance of Luvit Blinds’ terms and conditions.
  • Final Payment: The remaining 30% is due upon installation of the blinds.
  • Property Ownership: All blinds remain the property of Luvit Blinds until final payment is made. Luvit Blinds reserves the right to remove any unpaid blinds.
  • Quote Validity: Quotes are valid for one week. Luvit Blinds reserves the right to change prices after one week. Clients are responsible for checking price increases before paying a deposit.
  • Product Confirmation: Clients must ensure the product on the quotation matches their choice. Luvit Blinds does not take responsibility for wrong products on a quote. Clients are advised to take photos or note down the color they have chosen.
  • Measurement Responsibility: Luvit Blinds takes responsibility for the measurements written on the quotes and will correct any incorrect sizes ordered. Note that reordering blinds may take 8-10 working days.
  • Inclusion Responsibility: Clients are responsible for ensuring all desired windows are included in the written quote.
  • Change of Mind: If a client changes their mind after blinds are installed, a full fee will be applicable for new blinds. Luvit Blinds will not refund unused blinds.
  • Late Payment: Luvit Blinds reserves the right to add interest (Prime + 2%) per month for late payments.

Product:

  • Color Variations: Clients should note that slight color variations may occur between samples and the actual product. Luvit Blinds will not refund or exchange products due to color differences.
  • Size Errors: Luvit Blinds takes responsibility for size errors for windows measured by a Luvit Blinds employee. Corrections may cause delays in installation of up to 10 working days.
  • Client Measurements: Luvit Blinds takes no responsibility for correct sizing if blinds are not measured by Luvit Blinds.
  • Manufacturing Time: Products take an average of 8-10 working days to manufacture. In unusual circumstances, delays can occur. Luvit Blinds will communicate any issues ahead of time.
  • Stock Issues: If manufacturers run out of stock, Luvit Blinds will communicate this to clients ahead of time. Clients can choose a refund or an alternative product. If the alternative is more expensive, the balance of the 70% deposit must be paid before ordering.

Installation:

  • Wall Quality: Luvit Blinds reserves the right to inform clients if their walls are of poor quality, which may risk blinds falling out and causing damage. The quality of walls can only be determined upon installation.
  • Damage Responsibility: Luvit Blinds does not take responsibility for wall damage during installation unless it is due to severe damage caused by Luvit Blinds. Every effort will be made to avoid damage.
  • Installation Quality: Luvit Blinds ensures that blinds will be installed by a trustworthy and knowledgeable installer.

Guarantee Period:

  • Duration: Luvit Blinds provides a 24-month guarantee on workmanship and installation.
  • Repair Service: Luvit Blinds will repair blinds for free within the guarantee period. If blinds need to be sent in for repair, Luvit Blinds will handle removal, repair, and re-installation. Repairs may take up to 12 working days.
  • Call-Out Fee: If Luvit Blinds is called out for a repair and finds no fault with the blinds or installation (e.g., tangled cords or blinds stuck on safety bars), a call-out fee will be charged.
  • Client Alterations: The guarantee expires if clients make changes to the blinds or installation (e.g., moving blinds or cutting them).
  • External Damage: The guarantee expires if blinds are damaged by external factors (e.g., pets, extreme weather, children). Call-out fees will apply, and repairs will be charged.
  • Non-Luvit Blinds Installations: Luvit Blinds will not repair blinds not installed by Luvit Blinds.
